Unfortunately, in many of the countries where these young women find emplyment, they face racism, prejudice and oppression. Many work long hours and have few if any rights. Many are abused and many others work in near anonymity, caring for children who might not even know their name but call them "the Siri-Lankiye". Many are exploited also by their employment agents.
